Supported Living Project

Lennox Daniel is our full-time Supported Living advocate worker, and he works
alongside Audrey Hunt and Ita Bunn who split their time between this and their Independent Advocate roles.

The aim of this Project is to provide an
independent role and input into the
development of community based supported living as an alternative to residential care for people with learning difficulties and complex needs. Individuals accessing this Project are supported to move into a community setting, having their own tenancies through the local authority, Autism West Midlands or other means. Supported Living advocates aim to provide an independent and impartial voice for those involved with this transition. This is done by utilising a number of methods including establishing appropriate means of communication with those we work with, as well as having a direct input into other methods of establishing the needs and wishes of our partners such as person centred planning and circles of support.

Future development of this project is currently under review, we will keep you updated as things progress.
